THE BEGINNING OF "KOKLE TRIBE"
I played several different instruments, until I found kokle. I started playing it in 2011 during a folk camp. I believe, my previous musical experience let me catch the wave of freedom one can feel when playing kokle.
For several years, I was a practising musician, played in several bands and individually, but I came to understand that I do not belong on the stage.
My true mission is letting people feel and live the music themselves.
I would like to thank you once more for your effort. Thanks to you, this year Christmas was even more special, warmer and calmer for my family - we were singing songs accompanied by me playing kokle. The feeling was so magically calm, that I received compliments only the next day...
I have always admired opened, friendly and accepting people, like Ansis, even if it is not a live conversation, but jut tapping the keyboard. Thank you for letting me flow! Let the wood and strings judder, moving soul of every person around
My conclusion regarding these lessons - it definitely works!
For me personally, videos were understandable, it was easy to catch the idea of chord changes and moving fingers. Everything else is just a matter of practice...
I think, this way of learning is a great opportunity for me - it solves commuting problems from my hometown Ventspils, provide some level of development, until the chance to meet in real life (in the folk camp with an intensive course program).
